© LP / Stéphanie Forestier Compiègne. The compiégnoise start-up Ubikey has developed collaborative work software particularly suited to large touch screens.
This compiégnoise start-up knew how to catch the ball. Ubikey has developed an innovative and interactive management software suitable for teleworking. Concretely, employees can, thanks to this collaborative tool, work on the same document simultaneously. They see the evolution of objectives, share ideas, media …
Founded in 2015, Ubikey first specialized in touch tables, before designing interactive tables. Last year, the health crisis pushed her to go further.
“The touchscreen got a little tricky. There was no longer anyone in the offices, no one to attend work meetings. A solution had to be found, rewinds Julien Bellenger, the director of the financial and commercial department. We had to take a turn. The goal was to be able to connect remotely to your computer or smartphone and to better synchronize the remote working teams. "
No more small papers stuck everywhere
The company, based at the innovation center of the University of Technology of Compiègne (UTC), is an offshoot of the engineering school. Founded by Atman Kendira, teacher-researcher, it will hire its eleventh employee soon.
Large research & development groups, as well as manufacturers, have placed their trust in it. Sanofi, Airbus, SNCF, Thalès, Michelin… The Oise start-up has around thirty big-name clients, half of whom were won over less than a year ago.
“When we went to their offices, we were surprised to see small self-adhesive papers all over the place,” reports the financial director. These are all the same companies which design rockets or communication equipment for the Army… ”
The software caught the eye all the way to Las Vegas
Their software has been a blessing for Jean-Marc Morgon, manager at Ariane Group. "With the health crisis, a protocol has been put in place within the company, limiting contact and handling of objects such as the famous small papers, he explains. It will be a lasting solution, beyond the crisis. I can provide workshops, whether face-to-face or remote. "
Ubikey also captured the attention at the last CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas, in January, the unmissable event for new global technologies. Their group work tool already has a thousand users per month. The goal is to exceed 2,500 by next December.
